Hi, We have scheduled reports which run weekly, but the following report is giving the following errors- see logs below. Our Admin mentioned that he removed the deleted computers, but we keep on getting this error. How can we remove the undefined/deleted computers? i'm guessing there is a step we are not performing.

Hi Typotex AG,

It means a computer was being loaded, but it doesn't exist. This usually means a database/report refers to a computer that was deleted. It's hard to track these down, but they are almost always report related since items in a database can live longer than the computers/monitors that created that database row. The data in the database will eventually be removed when the cleanup function runs but that may take a while.

Thanks
Quinn

Hi I have the same issue in File Sight version 6.4.0.307. Is there a solution for this?

Can you send me screenshots of your settings for your scheduled report? Please make sure to include all of your tabs. Please send them to support@poweradmin.com and address your email to Quinn.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. The undefined/Deleted servers are listed in the "Filter and Parameters > Server" field, but they are not checked. however, i don't know how to remove these servers from the item selection window.

Even when i try to create a new scheduled report and go to select my servers, the undefined/deleted servers are listed (but not checked).

Should i try the "Clean all Reports now" option under Report Settings? i'm not sure what it does.

It sounds like you still have some deleted servers listed in the scheduled report. Try removing the deleted servers from the scheduled report and then run it. (To run the scheduled report right away right click on the report and select Run Now.)

Thanks

Just following up on this- so, to fix this issue, do we have to manually remove data still in the database for all the server which were removed from monitoring? I spoke to our admin and all he does is stop the monitoring and removes the agent from the server. he wasn't aware that he needs to remove any data from the database.

Thanks for the response. I just tried to schedule the report again today by changing the schedule, but the report didn't generate. I can manually generate the report without any issues. The issue i have is that for this specific scheduled report, its not being generated automatically and i have to manually run it.

Hi --

The entries that you are seeing in this log file is telling you that you have data still in the database for a number of servers. The servers have been removed from the monitoring but the data that the monitors had collected is still in the database. These errors shouldn't be shown on your reports that you have scheduled.

Is your report still being created or are you getting errors shown in the report?

Thanks
Quinn
