Hi, two nasty problems occure. 1) the group overview shows often old data. Even if a server error was fixed, it needs a long time for the group overview to cleanup the display. I´ve a server which shows an error in group overview, but the fix was applied 7 day´s ago. Even after deleting the counters (disk space). The displayed servers with an error differs sometimes between "group overview" and "all servers" for a longer time. 2) I´ve some servers listed in "group overview" but not complete. CPU, Memory, Performance are missing, even if the data, if you look to server, exits. Regards MTE asked 28 Feb '15, 16:02 MTE |
Hi MTE, In the top right corner of the Group Overview report there is a date stamp, is the date current or at least within the last few minutes? To 2) If the performance monitor uses wrong counters (f.e. if you use a template from a different server) the next counters where not displayed. example: If the counter Netzwerkschnittstelle(Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet _3)\Empfangene Bytes/s not exists, the next in the row: 10.1.3.14\Prozessor(_Total)\Prozessorzeit (%) will not work / displayed MTE answered 04 Mar '15, 17:59 MTE |
To 2) next version - localisation trouble the counter Arbeitsspeicher\Zugesicherte verwendete Bytes (%) - work = graphic is visible but Speicher\Zugesicherte verwendete Bytes (%) = don´t - both counter are correct. MTE answered 04 Mar '15, 18:14 MTE |
MTE, Not all counters will automatically create a graph on the Server Status report. By default there are a few counters that will. However, you can add counters to be graphed to your report by adding a Custom Performance Counter in the Configure Status Report Charts menu. Find more information on Server Status Report documentation page. Hi Quinn, Not all counters will automatically create a graph on the Server Status report. By default there are a few counters that will. I know that, but that´s not the point. If i´ve for example 3 performance counter - CPU - Network - Memory and the Network counter don´t exist in this special server, maybe the name of the buildin network card ist different, the Memory Graph don´t show up. If I delete the network counter, every thing is fine. MTE answered 05 Mar '15, 15:30 MTE |
MTE, That is correct if you have a performance monitor configured to watch a counter that is not on that server you should remove it. The second problem remains. The counter Arbeitsspeicher\Zugesicherte verwendete Bytes (%) - work with the basic MEMORY chart but at a different machine Arbeitsspeicher is Speicher\Zugesicherte verwendete Bytes (%) I´ve no chance to chart this. MEMORY dosn´t work nor a custom Chart. MTE answered 05 Mar '15, 16:30 MTE |
The "MemoryCommitted Bytes used (%)" chart should appear by default. Please check to make sure that the counter for the Speicher server is collecting the values.
