Hi, I´ve the problem to connect a target Server via RDP under the following circumstances: The central monitoring Server is place in our DMZ, accessible from the local net via RDP, from internet via SSl. All satellites are placed in different customer networks and are succesfully connected to the central monitoring server. I´ve a local poweradmin console installation on my workstation, any connection to the central monitor server works perfect direct(local IP) or via internet. 1) Working on the central monitoring server, a RDP connection to any target Server works perfect. 2) if try a RDP connecetion from my local poweradmin console installation, no connection is possible. The local poweradmin console try a connection to the central monitor server (direct or via internet) on a dynamic port and failed. Any idea? Regards MTE |

When you try to RDP, the central service will create a tunnel between itself and the Satellite for the RDP connection. If you're on the local network with the central service, your RDP request hits the central service and is tunneled. If you're on a remote network, your RDP request isn't able to reach the central service because of firewalls. Fixing snap ports to 65000 in registry works and allowing connection using port 65000 in firewall - in principal it works, no block warning occurs on the firewall. But still no RDP connetion via -> central server (snap) -> satellite possible.
