sound wav file not playing

When trying to test a sound wav monitor alert from the central console, it does not play. Does the WAV file need to be in a certain directory, or have certain permissions. Sound output is definitely working on the server using the Windows Test sounds etc

0	The sound file gets played by the Central Service, so you would need to make sure the server had speakers (which is often not the case). I don't believe sounds can be played from a VM (I might be wrong on that one). link answered 23 Mar '20, 12:14 Doug ♦♦ 10.2k●12●21●38 accept rate: 21%
