Hi Team, We are in the middle of a domain migration, so some server names are changing, but the monitor server is not changing domain. What is the best way to update the server names, and add the new Local Admin credentials to the server? Shaun |

Hi shaunscott, There is a registry value that you can change that will allow you to change the name of the server/device in console. The name of the registry key is: Change the value to 1 and you'll be able to change the name in the console and keep the monitors and data. However, this registry value change is not officially supported by us, but we haven't had any problems with using this. Once you make the change you'll need to restart the service. Then you can manually make changes to the names. To make changes to the credentials for servers/devices there is a Bulk Config option that will allow you to do that for several at a time. The options name starts with "Computer: Set Credentials". There are four depending on the type of device you need to change. Thanks Quinn - this appears to have worked. The monitors appear to display the FQDN incorrectly after the change. i.e. they display name.domain.domain instead of name.domain Cheers |

For anyone who also faces this - you need to rename the server prior to updating the credentials as the rename sets the windows credentials back to default Cheers |
