I am evaluating PA Storage Monitor but I'm unable to monitor a CIFS mounted share in Windows, i am missing something ? |

This is probably due to a rights issue. The PA Storage Monitor service needs to run as an account that has rights to the Windows server whose share you want to monitor, OR you can right-click on the server and go to Set Server Type > Type & Credentials and give specific Windows credentials to be used when monitoring that specific server. If this is done, make sure the PA Storage Monitor service is running as a local admin account on the server where it is installed so it is able to impersonate the additional credentials you give. is a NAS CIFS share mapped on windows, the service is running with my creds. i was able to make it work by mounting the share as a symbolic link as a folder, even though is not alerting even if I delete a file or create one
