How to set Monitor by IP address only

Adding a ping monitor automatically configures it for ping by name. DNS must be running in that case. If the target does not respond you can not tell it is because of DNS or TCPIP problems. A direct ping to the target IP address simply indicates it is still alive or not. How do I configure this basic test with the ping monitor?

If you go into your ping monitor, you can check the box that says "This device has multiple IP Addresses". Then you can enter whatever ip addresses that you want to by clicking on the Ping Target text box.

Jason thanks for answer. you can enter comma separated values in the Ping target box. For example Tech10,192.145.6.124

Also, if the DNS fails the Ping monitor will report that the DNS failed in the error message.
