AIX snmp monitor

Hi.

I try to set up an snmp v3 mointor in aix 6.1. I check the ibm page for the settings. Everything set up correct accoring to ibm. I add the new server, but I can see only ping status. I tried to add snmp walk, but I got only an error. I can set up snmp v1, but in our environment this is not safe.

Can someone help me the correct settings. I tried everything. I run out of iedes.

Hi,

You will need to change you SNMP credentials to v3, go to the SNMP Monitor page for information on how to change the settings.

Hi.

Thanks for the answare. I changed it. By the way I'm a unix sysadmin. I googled this problem about 2 weeks before I wrote this question. I tried many settings on the aix and on the monitor side as well. It would be helpfull if someone can send me a working snmpv3 settings for aix 6.1, or send the instruction how to set it correctly for PA Server Monitor.
