0x6 error, no impersonate account used in monitor

every now and then we get an error on one of the Service and/or Performance monitors stating it cannot monitor the server. error message ends with [err=0x6, CurrUser=pamonitor, Imp={none}]

I think that's where the problem is because this server should be monitored with different credentials. the monitored server is not part of the domain, so alternative credentials are needed.

After a couple of minutes the error disappears, and all monitors are green again.

Is the pamonitor the domain account, or is the account that ought to be used when monitoring that non-domain server?

Yes, pamonitor is the general domain account but for this particular ( non-domain ) server I added different credentials.

Most of the time this works just fine, but every hour or two the domain-account is used with a failure as a result. 3 or 4 cycles further pamonitor uses the impersonate credentials again and all is green again.
