In the documentation Configuring Charts ... Similar to the Report Parts dialog, you can drag and drop items back and forth between the right and left lists, change the order of the items on the left side by dragging and dropping them. Well you can do that, that´s right. But if do this in the root Servers/Devices report section and later look in the report section of a group or server, it will mixed up again. Not every time, but often. If you have a lot custom charts, sorting via drag and drop is painfull. Since one of the minor updates, it´s not more possible to break the inheritance in subgroups. The the check box at the top ist missing. Regards Marco asked 10 Mar '15, 14:14 MTE |
Marco, I have tested the ordering of the graphs but I'm unable to reproduce what you found. I know that we had an issue with this back in an earlier build but I think that you already have that build installed. If you see this again would you please screenshot the steps that you go through and send it to support@poweradmin.com? The inheritance in subgroups has changed, the checkbox at the top of the server or group Configure Status Report Charts is no longer there. To stop the inheritance to your group or server you will need to open the chart menu from an inherited chart, you will see the checkbox at the bottom left to disable. Thanks Please make sure to mark your questions accepted when you have your answer by clicking the gray check mark to the left of the answer. answered 11 Mar '15, 15:59 Quinn ♦♦ |
Thanks, ok let me copy that. If I will stop the inheritance I have to check every chart individual? I´ll try my best, a lot of work. The second issue is unfortunately not easy to reproduce, as you know :) I´ll try test and send it to you, asap. Regards Marco answered 11 Mar '15, 16:09 MTE |
I found the solution. It´s all about inheritance. Due to the recent changes in the prebuild versions, for me, the charts are messed up. In the sub groups or even direct at the servers I found a mixture of root charts (based on root\Displayed Reports Items) and local group oder server assigned chart. After cleaning up this mess, it looks fine and in order for the moment. Regards Marco answered 12 Mar '15, 12:11 MTE |
Ok, cheered too soon. release 5.7.0.258 is nice but mix my charts anyway. It can, however, narrow down a little better. If you change the filter term in the charts, the sorting order changed. For example: Three SNMP charts with filterterm - capacity, temperature and duration - were at the end of the chartlist. After changing into - UPS-battery, UPS-... - they moved to the top of chartlist and other charts move also. Regards Marco answered 13 Mar '15, 02:32 MTE |
