Hi, We have PA File Sight Pro 3.7 running on our file server. The software was reinstalled after the server was upgraded from Windows 2003 to 2008 R2. I forgot to add the license after installation and the software has reached the end of trial period. The server has crashed with blue screen several times last few days and the memory dump file show the error of PA File Sight driver. I just added the license key to the software. Would the license expiration crash the server?

Thanks,

Hi -

The demo license expiring should not have caused a server crash. So I don't think that the dump file showing an error in PA File Sight is the cause of the crash. In build 3.6 we did start using a newer MS driver that was more stable and there was great success with it. If you would like, you could upgrade to v3.9 which your license is good for to make sure that you have further updates. Version v3.9 Download

You may also want to consider upgrading to version 5 which is the current version. If you want more information on this upgrade please let me know.

Thanks
Quinn
