Dear PA

You're product PA is being used for our server park. We are monitoring disk space/CPU ram, services etc, works great.

We are now trying to use PA to monitor our websites: Multiple websites are being hosted on our IIS servers, that are already being monitored bij PA.

I have created a new group under Servers/Devices. (websites) Next I have added an IIS server (again) On this server i have created a Web page monitor

On our fist IIS server i can monitor 10 websites with success (screened on text)

However when i add a second IIS server everything goes wrong. -When I add the Web page monitor, i can add ONLY one website. If is select a second website on the same IIS server i loose the previous selected site

Also i have tried to copy the monitor from the first IIS server to the second, no luck here

Could you guys help us out?

Thanks in advance

Hi Stephan,

I think what is happening here is that you are running into a few rules that are setup in the product. But we can relax those rules by having you make a change in your registry settings. Please change the registry key "RelaxWebHostOwnerCheck" from the default value of "0" to "1". Once you have the registry change you will need to re-start the PA Server Monitor service. Here is the location of the registry key.

Location:
32-bit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREPowerAdminServerMonitorRelaxWebHostOwnerCheck
64-bit:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWow6432NodePowerAdminServerMonitorRelaxWebHostOwnerCheck

Thanks
Quinn

Hi,

Would you please me some screen shots showing me how you have the first website monitor setup and then your second website monitor. Please make sure that I can view the URL addresses and all settings. Also, are the two IIS servers named the same? Please send you screenshots to support@poweradmin.com

Thanks
Quinn
