I have a website that I need to monitor whether or not it has access to the backend database. Is there a way the website monitors can simulate a login to the page? |

To make sure that I understand say you have 20 servers and you are monitoring the counter for web connections. You want to be able to alert on the sum of all those monitors. So if the threshold was 1000 and the total passed that you would want to alert based on that. That sounds like a powerful tool! Of course we have the individual counter information. the issue we have right now is that we don't have a GUI that would allow you to select the counters to sum and alert on. I will pass this on to our programmers to add to the to-do list but I don't know when they will be able to get to this project. No, I have a website that prompts for username and password then connects to the database. I need to monitor whether or not that connection is up by posting credentials to the site.

Sorry for the answer I just gave you! I was working on several requests and yours looked very close to another request and I assumed that it was from the same person. My fault! Try using the Web Page Monitor and entering the account information in the parameter values. I can advise you to try the software called Anturis that ahs proved to monitor sites and various transactions very well. |
