Hi there, I'm getting regular database errors from PA Server Monitor. See below example logs from two servers.

CAN'T CONNECT: Failed to re-open database file C:Program FilesPA Server MonitorConfigConfiguration_Satellite.db. SQLite reported 5 (database is locked ExtErr=5)

Ver 5.1.2 (Build 58)

CAN'T CONNECT: Failed to re-open database file C:Program Files (x86)PA Server MonitorConfigConfiguration_Satellite.db. SQLite reported 5 (database is locked ExtErr=5)

Ver 5.1.2 (Build 58)

Any ideas what might be causing the errors and what I can do to fix them? Regards Andy

Hi Andy,

To be able to see what is happening we need to see the log files. Please zip them up and send them to support@poweradmin.com

Thanks

Helpful reply from Quinn in Power Admin Support:

Both of the log files are from satellites and I see two things that should be addresses.

First, I believe the issue that you are having is that the user account that satellite service is using does not have the correct rights to the following database. Please make sure that the user account has Admin rights to everything within the C:Program Files (x86)PA Server Monitor directory.

C:Program Files (x86)PA Server MonitorConfigConfiguration_Satellite.db

Second, both versions of the satellites services are different. Please make sure that they are the same version as the main service.

Serv1 - Ver=5.1.0 (Build 119) Serv2 - Ver=5.1.2 (Build 58)

I would suggest that you upgrade to the latest version as there are lots of changes and fixes that have been added. The most current production version is 5.2.2.112 and you can get to the download here. http://www.poweradmin.com/downloads.aspx

The preview version ( build 5.3.0.183) will be pushed up to production later today or tomorrow, and you can get that download from http://www.poweradmin.com/servermonitor/preview.aspx
