We have a bunch of servers behind a router. If the router goes down, I don't want a bunch of alerts from the servers since they can't be reached. How to set this up?

Create a Ping monitor for your router. Then use Bulk Config to set a monitor dependency on all of the monitors on servers behind the router. OR, since most monitors are (by default) dependent on a Ping monitor on their same server, you could have just those Ping monitors be dependent on the Router's Ping monitor.
