Hi,

my eventlog2.db is 90GB ! all other files are less than 1gb.

I have run a DB cleanup and a DB compress but no joy.

what is in this file and how can I clear it out.

We are getting SQL insert timeout issues.

Hi Steven,

The Eventlog2.db is the database table where all of the event log data is stored that you are scanning for. So there could be a lot of data due to the fact that event entries have lots of text for them.

To help you reduce the amount of data in the table there are few more things that you can do.

  • You can reduce the amount of data you are collecting. Go to your monitors and cut back on the what you are scanning for.
  • Go in to your Database Cleanup and reduce the number of days that are you are keeping the data for. Go to System -> Database Settings -> Database Cleanup.

If you are getting database error messages you can send us a copy of the error message along with the zipped up service log file. Please send these to support@poweradmin.com

Thanks
Quinn
