Maybe I'm missing it but is there a way to get an alert/email to ship out a warning every time someone puts a server/group etc. into maintenance mode?

Hi -

There isn't a way to do that, but that is a good idea. I'll add that to the TODO list.

In the meantime, there are two reports that might help. One is the [System Summary Reports] > Monitoring System Audit. That report can show the times any server is put into Maintenance mode, and who did it.

The other report is [System Summary Reports] > Monitor Status Summary. That report can show all monitors that currently have a status of "Server Maintenance"

Both of those reports could be Scheduled. Once you have a scheduled report, the URL doesn't change so the report URL could be saved, or even shown on a status TV in the NOC for example.

Hi -

I'm sorry, but I forgot this is already built in :)

Please see Settings > Security Alerts. One of them is for when a server enters maintenance mode.
