Is there a monitor that is best for alerting if the system has frozen or crashed? I have had 2 servers freeze up recently and PowerAdmin didn't notify me until after the server was rebooted by another technician. I have alerts based on Satellite Disconnected, and I would think that other monitors that are configured on the servers should have alerted on a frozen system as it couldn't access SQL, or other things like that. Is there a monitor that would be able to tell if the system has froze and still be able to alert my team?

ScottBauer, are the 2 server that were in a frozen state also your Satellite servers?

"Frozen" servers are tough, because it typically means somethings are actually working (responding to ping for example), but others are not (the user interface, perhaps some services). You might watch CPU usage and alert if it goes high, which is often (not always) the cause of a frozen server.
