Hi, I am facing this problem. PA Monitor cannot access remote Event log, on many servers. This is a default Event Log Monitor, and the error is: access is denied. PA Monitor can access every other monitor, except Event Log Monitor. The error is in detail: Event Log Monitor Failed to open the Internet Explorer event log on machine \PKARNAVI3. OS Reports: Access is denied. Troubleshooting Hint: Try logging into PRODAPP086 as GARANCIA.HUpa_admin. Then run EVENTVWR.MSC and try to connect to the remote Event Log to see if it succeeds. If it doesn't, you may need to start the Remote Registry service, or enable remote management rules in Windows Firewall. [Err=0x5 (5), CurrUser=pa_admin, Imp=] I tried these suggestions, successfully connected to remote Event Viewer, and I could see every event log (Application, Security, Setup, etc) except Internet Explorer log. MMC shows this error: Event Viewer cannot open the event log or custom view. Verify that Event Log service is running or query is too long. The operation completed successfully (5).
