I have both windows 2003 and windows 2008 R2 on our environment. I setup a event log monitor for both 2003 and 2008 R2 server. Our 2003 server event log monitoring is working. When a Event Error ID was detected it send out an email to us. Same setup (using event ID for Windows 2008 R2). I saw the event ID on the windows side but Power admin doesn't detect it.Hence no email.

Thanks in advance System administrator

Hi cpugeda,

There are a few things that you should check. First, is the monitor working correctly, are there any errors showing in the console? Windows 2008 premissions are handled differently. Second, when you changed from the Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 event IDs did you also change the Event Source? Thrid, when you added your filter did you add any else besides the event ids?
