Hello,

I want to configure a process monitor but it cannot connect to the Server.

I get the following error:

failed to send WMI request to PAHelper. Service log file has more details WMI Response: ERR0: [MSG=Failed to send WMI request to PAHelper. Service log file has more details]

In the log file there is there same message. With a wmi browser I can access the process list.

any ideas?

thanks.

Mike

Mike,

Please look in the service log file to find the information that the error is referring to. If you are not able to find information in the log file please zip it up and send it to support@poweradmin.com

Thanks
Quinn

Hi Mike,

It could be that the PAHelper is not running and the service thinks that it is or it may be in a bad state. Please look to see if PAHelper is running in your Task Manager. If you do not see it running try re-starting the service from the PA Server Monitor console. If the you see PAHelper in the task manager kill the process and let PA Server Monitor service bring it back up.

Thanks
Quinn

Hello Quinn,

after I restart the Service the "PALowPriorityHelper" Service is running. But at the process list I get now the following error:

: Result: Success Details: Timed out waiting for PAHelper to handle WMI request. Service log file has more details

WMI Response: ERR0: [MSG=Timed out waiting for PAHelper to handle WMI request. Service log file has more details]
