Hello,

I am looking for a way to send an alert if the version of JAVA installed on a server is changed. I was hoping to use the inventory alert, but it does not appear to monitor specific application versions. Is there possibly a way to query the registry?

Thank you

Hi,

We are working to add the monitoring of applications to the Inventory Monitor, but it's not there yet.

You could write a small script to return the value of a registry item and compare it to a value that is stored. Then you could use the Excite Script Monitor to schedule and alert when a change is made.

Thanks
Quinn
