I use PA File Sight Ultra to monitor several windows file servers. One of them is Windows 2003 Server. Users' access to this server should be logged by PA File Sight. However, the source IPs are shown "N/A" in the logs if users were accessing files via file share. IP are logged as 127.0.0.1 if system administrator access the files on this machine.

How do I correct this logging behavior? I need to log the source IP of users.

Thanks!

Lai,

PA File Sight can only display the source IP address if the server is Windows 2008 or newer. Previous to that, the OS did not make the IP address information available :(

Thanks
Quinn

Hi Quinn,

Thanks for answering. We will consider if we can upgrade the OS of the file server.
